Adding the NYC1 Reader to a device

Setting Up Your NYC1 Just Takes A Few Moments From Start To Finish!

Boarding the NYC1 Terminal

Important Reminders for Both IOS & Android Users:

    • The mobile device can be connected to only 1 card reader at a time. But it is possible to pair several card readers to the same mobile device.
    • The battery cannot be replaced.
    • Paying attention to the battery life will be important while on a bluetooth connection as the reader never completely turns off because Bluetooth is on continuously.
      • At a certain point, the battery level will impact the terminals ability to accept payments
      • Each green LED represents 25% of the battery capacity.
    • When you collect payment from your customer, the payment status will be indicated
      • 4 Green Lights at time of payment indicate a successful transaction
      • 4 Red Lights at time of payment will indicate a failed transaction
    • If surcharging is enabled on your account and permitted by your state, please be aware:
      • If the shopper card is inserted at time of payment on the NYC1, a surcharge fee is NOT applied. All other methods should be unaffected and properly adding a surcharge at time of payment if a credit card is presented.
        • We apologize for this inconvenience and are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
